Tasha Trujillo and I found a red-necked phalarope on Saturday at Snake Bight. It was swimming around a shallow pool and caught us by surprise. It doesn't show as rare on e-bird but my Sibley Guide lists it as rare for the area and I checked sightings and didn't see many that weren't offshore. We rode bike through the trail and didn't have much trouble with the skeeters.

Thanks for bringing this eBird filter error to my attention. Red-necked Phalarope should have been set to zero on the Monroe County Mainland filter. I just corrected the error.
