Possible scoter in key west

I was at key west yesterday at the southernmost pt. And had a very dark sea duck flyby going right to left towards where the eider was seen. It looked like a female black scoter but was all dark and had the head of an scoter not an eider. Though l was not 100% sure. Has anyone else seen a scoter in the area?
