I agree, the Barn Swallows are always nice to see. Not having the energy to get up before dawn to join the TAS EAA Birding trip today, I decided to take a walk along the greenway in front of my house. I was quickly greeted by a number of Barn Swallows flying low and high through the green space banking and diving through the trees and back again. They buzzed me as I walked. Very cool. Along with the swallows I had Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Prarie Warbler, Norther Parula, and American Redstart, along with the regular neighborhood birds. I hope they had a good day at the sod farms.
